Frequently Asked Questions

Can I host an event at AVID Indoor Golf or rent the whole place?

Yes, catered parties and special events can be hosted at our facility. Please contact us for more information and available dates. You can also click on our Party and Events menu for pricing and information as well.

Can we just arrive and play?

Book your tee times in advance. If it’s your first time visiting, we recommend you sign up online or call to book your reservation in advance. Walk-ins are discouraged and if there are no reservations on the schedule, doors may be closed. Arrive 10 minutes early so you are ready to play at your tee time. A host will walk you through the game features and details of how the simulator works and set you up. If you have questions or need help during play, someone will provide immediate assistance. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Only 1 person is allowed in simulator swing/play area at a time. Players waiting should remain outside play area for safety and to avoid accidents. Food and beverages are not allowed in sim area. Golf bags should be placed in a bag stand outside of hitting bay.

Do I bring my clubs & can I store my clubs?

Absolutely bring your clubs in for the best experience if you have them. We also can store your clubs all season at Avid Indoor Golf for a $50 fee. Club rentals are available on a first-come basis for a $15 rental fee for out of town guests and visitors.

How long does it take to play a round of indoor golf?
Depending on your skill level & experience, it takes average golfers: 1 hour to play 18 holes per player (1/2 hour to play 9 holes), 2 hours to play 18 holes for 2 golfers, 3 hours to play 18 holes for 3 golfers, 4 hours to play 18 holes for 4 golfers. This does not include any warm up on the practice range. Play can be faster or slower depending on socializing, course difficulty or handicap. Simulator time can be reserved by the hour or half-hour increments with up to 4 players per simulator. Additional time, can be purchased in 15 minute increments if time is available.
How many people can we bring?
We allow 1-4 players per simulator reservation. Sim time is priced per hour, not per person. For example, if you have 8 golfers that want to play 18 holes, we recommend reserving 2 simulators for 4 hours each.
How much does it cost and how do I pay?

Click here for our simulator pricing/rates page.  It usually costs about $25 to play 9 holes per golfer, however, we price for incremental time reserved, not holes played. You can practice and/or play during your reserved time. Beginner golfers usually take a lot longer to play than skilled golfers. Payment with credit/debit card or cash is accepted at the end of your reservation for playing time, services and sessions. *Note, first time golfers must add credit card information to new accounts in order to reserve simulation time. We only charge your card on file if you fail to cancel or do not show up for your reservation.

Is food and beverage available?

Avid is a full bar & grill with delicious, fresh pizzas and pub food available before, during or after your play. No outside food or beverage is permitted to be brought on premises. Our kitchen is closed May-September.

What else do I bring or wear? Do I need golf shoes?
You can wear casual golf attire, jeans or any respectable clothes. There is NO reason to wear golf shoes indoors unless you adore yours and they are perfectly clean. No spikes allowed as they wreck indoor floors.

What is a simulator?
Simulators are a where players play indoor golf and other games. They are made with a combination of high-speed cameras, infrared sensors and computer technology. Players use golf clubs and real balls to hit into a large 3D movie screen, seamlessly projecting play onto and into an amazing virtual world! Every swing, chip, putt, ball tracking information and other data is recorded and displayed to help you improve your game. We only use “Full Swing” simulators, the most accurate and best golf simulators in the world. Our simulators also can be used to play other games, watch HD movies & television and more!
